Haus of Hope

My name is Tiffany, and I am proud to be an Esthetician.

The beauty industry has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. My mother was active in the Beauty Industry for over 35 years, during the time being diagnosed with Stage 4 Cervical cancer. During that time was when I first attended the Look Good Fell Better program and was continuously inspired. There were many hardships during that time with her—going with her to LGFB was when I realized I wanted to help make a difference in this community in the best way I knew how: by making people feel beautiful.

I was ready to attend Esthetics school and attain my license. After my license, I decided to become a volunteer for the Look Good Feel Better program myself, an American Cancer Society foundation. Look Good Feel Better is a non-medical, brand-neutral public service program that teaches beauty techniques to people with cancer to help them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. There, I worked one-on-one with patients from all walks of life, to help them better understand how to manage their ever changing bodies—specifically their hair loss of the eyelashes and eyebrows. I was able to help people with cancer find some normalcy in a life that was by no means normal—I knew I had found my place.

I went on to attend Oncology Spa Solutions and trained first in my area (woohoo!) This inspirational Oncology Esthetics-USA Spa training company has changed the lives of over 3500 students and many more clients. The success I’ve felt while going through this training confirmed to me that we, as human beings, have a desire to care for others and with the right education, can feel confident in serving  those that need us the most. It’s created a fire within, helping me to (with so much love and understanding) change the way I look at and care for my clients on a daily basis.

It was time to spread this passionate, fire burning inside with my home-town, and I knew just where to bring my ideas to. I went straight to Sarah with visions of bringing this life-changing understanding to the Haus Spa, and we both knew it was fate. And now, with a little bit of time and patience, Bauhaus Haus Spa will be the first Spa in the Lake Area to bring Oncology Services to its doorstep….. Coming in 2019.
